Beautiful carvings! The bird is more like a goose than a cormorant perhaps. No doubt about the skill of the artist and its as good as anything that comes much later. There can be no argument against them being carved and we should now see the absurd claims made for ancient rock faces elsewhere for what they are - wishful thinking.
