Perhaps we should move this to the forum, but anyhow: It seems to me that since the demise of the Ley Hunter and similar (or perhaps the demise is as a result of the change), interest in Ley Lines and the gentle subject of 'Earth Mysteries' in general seems to have dwindled, and given way to full-blown Paganism which is much more 'hands on' shall we say. It seems many of the same people have moved their interest in that direction.
I think EM is just out of fashion at the moment, it may yet return! As us readers knew, but it was difficult to explain to anyone else, most of the material in the 1980s/90s Ley Hunters (when I got involved) was not about 'Hunting Ley Lines', indeed you could find it very interesting while not going along with that particular viewpoint at all.
Also, thinking in areas of modern academic archaeology (theoretical, cognitive) has got very close to some of those old 'fringe' ideas. I think recent books by Paul Devereux explain it best.
