Artefactual and ecofactual assemblages were limited, with the most significant finds being evidence of shale working.

A fine site in the Bathgate hills with excellent views in all directions, marred only by the presence of a telecom mast in the next field. The reconstruction is unusual in that it attempts to show all four phases of the site, so it appears rather confused on first viewing.

Prehistoric pottery is found at new Kincardine Bridge site

Archaeologists have uncovered what they believe is the broadest range of elaborately decorated prehistoric pottery ever found in Scotland, at the site for the new Kincardine Bridge.
The discovery shows that large groups of Scotland's first settlers crossed over the River Forth at the site of the new bridge up to 6,000 years ago.
