Boscorre dolmen
Boscorre dolmen submitted by ocdolmen : Site in Languedoc: Hérault (34): View of the entrance of the dolmen (burial chamber, fragment of capstone on the left & tumulus). (Vote or comment on this photo)
The Boscorre dolmen (municipality of Puechabon) was excavated and the findings were published in the 1950s. It is a passage tomb (dolmen à couloir avec plan en q). It has a beautiful dry stone entrance way.

The capstone was broken in several fragments of which a rather thick fragment remains well in sight on the tumulus.

The burial chamber is complete but a side has begun to collapse and it was necessary to fill the chamber with stones to avoid total collapse.

This megalith is hidden in a very thick green oak forest with thorny plants. It is difficult to find it and there is no road or path to reach it.

To look for it in bermuda shorts is not recommended for your legs!
