Tomb 7 is the best example of dolmen and circle in the Carrowmore complex.

The Carrowmore Passage Tomb Cemetery is located two miles southwest of Sligo Town in County Sligo. Carrowmore is the site of a prehistoric ritual landscape dated to between 4300 and 3500 BCE. on the Knocknarea Peninsula in County Sligo. It is the largest and one of the four major passage tomb cemeteries in Ireland and is spread out over 1.5 square mile area.

The tombs are known by numbers assigned them by George Petrie in an 1837 report for the Ordnance Survey. To see location of this and other numbered tombs, see the Carrowmore Cemetery map uploaded to the generic Megalithic Portal Carrowmore page at www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=40. Or visit the following webpage for a clickable map of all the existing tombs: www.carrowkeel.com/sites/carrowmore/carrowmore2.html<3>
The following indivdual Carrowmore tomb pages on the Megalithic Portal have photos (as of August 12, 2009): 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 48, 51, 52, 52A, 54, 55, and 57.

Carrowmore 7 submitted by Bladup : After sunset at the wonderful Carrowmore Tomb 7 (We can all do better with names, can't we?), In the background is Knocknarea (Cnoc na Riabh) with the huge Maeve's cairn (Miosgan Meadhbha) on top of it. This Original Artwork in a glass frame is £39.99 + Postage (Just whatever it costs), and is 17 cm x 11 and a half cm. A limited (to a 100) edition print in a 8" x 10" glass frame would be £19.99 ...
