Neutestorf Langbett 1 submitted by Martin_L : Location of the kerbed and chambered long-barrow Neu-Testorf I viewed from the West. Sprockhoff 270 (Neu-Testorf I) and 271 (II) are towering on a ridge with widespread view. Even the baltic sea is visible from here. The numberings are mixed up on the map in Sprockhoff's Atlas. So this site-page in fact is that of Spr. 270. August 2012 (Vote or comment on this photo)

Neutestorf Langbett 1 submitted by Martin_L : Chambers' lateral entrance. Two passage orthostats in situ and their slightly moved capstone. The chamber has preserved all orthostats in situ while 3 (out of 4) capstones have been robbed. The remaining capstone is visible top left. The site is not signposted and situated in a field which was just harvested when we visited. August 2012 (Vote or comment on this photo)

Neutestorf Langbett 1 submitted by Martin_L : Position of the kerbed and chambered long-barrow viewed from the South. Eroded, but still massive earthwork which hides most of the megalithic structure. Apart from the prehistoric remains there are splendid views all around. A remarkable tree is located downslope to the East of the site (also visible to the right in the left photo). Neutestorf Langbett 1 submitted by Martin_L : View North towards the baltic sea with three kerbstones of long barrows enclosure. The site is almost completely preserved (except for three out of originally probably 4 capstones), but largely hidden inside the eroded earthwork. Only the tops of most megaliths are visible. Many stones are in situ, but often almost fully hidden by eroded barrow material/earthwork. Some kerbstones are fallen to the outside of the barrow. Access limited to outside growing season.
