This is a sacrificial site important to the old sami people. It consists of a rocky outcrop from a mountains side just below the country road going south.
In the rocky hillside down towards the sea, it is a noticeable outcrop with sharp edges, almost forming a human figure. It was originally a huge boulder standing on top of the outcrop, forming a shape like a human torso with neck and shoulders and head.
It was more impressive some years ago, but in the 50`s, some local young men decided to have some fun and they pushed the larger boulder so it fell off the outcrop and landed in the hillside below the site!
Later tales say that the two young men allegedly lost their lives in suspicious ways just days after they had ruined the site, and this was by the locals considered the gods revenge for the crime! But this tale is not confirmed in any way, and is of course to be seen as a just a local legend!
The site is not far away from the sacrificial site of Slottsbergkjerringa and is in an area with great historical importance to the sami people.
