rrmoser visited on 18th Jun 2018 - their rating: Cond: 5 Amb: 5 Access: 3 I went to the museum. The staff was extremely helpful and I met the people responsible for the conservation of the monument. They took me to the site. They have a very important job because the painting inside is, as far as I know, one of a kind. This is a truly remarkable world treasure. The paintings are in a very good state of preservation.
According to Carbon 14 dating, this anta (burial chamber) was built in the 4th millennium BCE. It contains some of the best preserved Stone Age paintings of Iberia (Portugal and Spain), it also shows some sculpting on the inside of the chamber.
