Sculptured Stone in Hesse

On Hünsteinstrasse in relatively recent development near Baunatal. The 2.4 Meter tall stone originaly stood in a nearby field "Opfertriesch" and was buried as it got in the way of farmers. Re-errected in 1932. 226 Meters Altitude.

In 1911 it had been buried by a farmer, but it was re-discovered in 1932 and afterwards re-erected near its original location. Since then it has been slightly moved again. Location nowadays is on a little green surrounded by detached houses in the village Grossenritte. (Vote or comment on this photo)
