The well is located within the Eggegebirge mountains. Modern chemical analysis revealed that the water is of very good quality. The city of Willebadessen decided to use the well as an official mineral spring in 1978. Today the spring flows from a metal pipe first into a sandstone trough and then into the neighboring stream.
