It was again inhabited from about 200 BCE until the arrival of the Romans when the population transferred once and for all to Chatillon-sur-Seine. Hillfort in Côte-d'Or

Iron Age hillfort just west of town along banks of Seine river inhabited since Neolithic. Found 1929 and excavated between 1946 and 1970 and again in 2010. Major archeological finds as well as tumuli in the area.
