TheCaptain saw from a distance on 26th Sep 2005 On top of the plateau is a large collection of earthen barrows dating to the iron age which can be seen from the track.

The Plateau de Mons has been home to an important human community since the end of the neolithic, with many remains to be found here. On top of the plateau is a large collection of earthen barrows dating to the iron age.
