Malia
Malia submitted by AlexHunger : Malia Grandstand Stairs on the West Side of the Great Courtyard. Malia is considered by scholars as more of a provincial palace, though many fine objects were found there. Malia is about halfway between Heraklion and Agio Nikolaos on the North Coast of Crete. Malia
Malia submitted by sem : The Kernos As you can see from the pic, the archaeos consider it an "offering table." There are 33 small holes plus 1 larger hole on it's rim. An usual number 33, it equates to the precise number of years that the sun will at the exactly the same point on the horizon. Coincidence? (2 comments - Vote or comment on this photo)

Malia submitted by AlexHunger : Malia Hypostyle Crypt. This building is about 200 metres to the west of the main Palace. The foundations are deep below ground level. A modern hangar style roof protects the fragile plastered walls. The guide suggests it was used as a meeting room, though there are storerooms to the east.
