Ancient Temple in Basilicata
Remains of ancient Greek temple, posibly of Poseydon. Only two columns survive at the Piazza Castello.
Remains of an other temple have been built into the Chuch of St. Domenico at the West end of the Island/Acropolis.
Taras, now modern day Taranto, was a Spartan colony founded 706 BCE.
