This temple was moved from crowded central-Kyoto to the quiet northern suburb in 1968 along with the inner garden called Yuki-no-Niwa (雪の庭 Snow Garden) of its branch temple. The garden is a combination of a dry landscape garden and a rocky mound, recently an anti-crow tent has been added unfortunately.
Open 9:00-16:00, admission 600 Japanese Yen (2024 price). The precinct is open to public. The young ascetics of this isolated temple are all gentle and cooperative. Worth to visit to find the lost Kyoto.
