Passage Grave in Västergötland

This is one of a group of passage graves or Gånggrifter located in the Gökhem area. Quite a lot of research has been conducted into this group - see the references below for more details. Gökhem 72:1 is the southern of two neighbouring sites and is the closest of the two to the road. In September 2011 the site was heavily overgrown. The passage faces towards the east and is 5 metres long and approximately 1 metre wide. It leads into a chamber which is 5 metres long and 3 metres wide. All the capstones for both the passage and chamber are missing. The site was restored in 1951.
