The archaelogy museum in Gilimanuk is nicely situated at the edge of the town of Gilimanuk, which is the entry point to Bali, if you take the ferry from Bayuwangi, Java.
It has spacious grounds and is actually a very nice building. However the archaeological exhibition is in a sorry state and not well taken care of. There are some exhibits from the neolithic time, some ceramics, some bones and skulls and models of burial sites. However at the time of my visit there were no explanations and the whole museum was poorly maintained. So from my personal view not worth driving all the way from Denpasar or Ubud. However if you are anyway in Gilimanuk and have to wait for the ferry check it out :)! But you never know, I have seen very nice archaeological museums in Indonesia, so it might change for the better.
