Lübbensteine Südgrab
Lübbensteine Südgrab submitted by AlexHunger : Lübbenstein South would have been nearly identical to Lübbenstein North, but appears to have suffered more on account of being closer to the road and is consequently miss-ing quite a few stones. One of the side support stone at the North end was replaced so that the one remaining cap stone could be replaced in its original position. Note it also has some of the exterior stones. Re: Lübbensteine Südgrab by Anonymous on Saturday, 23 December 2006
I came across this 18th Century etching and wonder if anyone can identify this site near 'Helmstad'? Is it in the vicinity of these other stone monuments?

I think this etching shows the Lübbensteine Südgrab. Of course there are some varieties over the centuries.

The sketch from the 18th century is free of copyrights, if you like, submit it to the Portal.
