JohnLindsay visited on 14th Apr 2012 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 2 Access: 4 This is a case of the words and things for this pops up as a timber circle, and I am presuming it is in the right place to be a load of other things, almost all the terms we need. See words and things, though I don't know how to reference this. I found the two volumes in Chelmsford Library, 1981 on the cursus, but I don't want to have to repeat this text there, and the 1987 on this, which they don't call a timber circle. It is now a mess. It needs a spiral of virtue, perhaps with YOI to make something of it, and could be a real celebration. I wonder where to start? The industrial estate and the housing estate show that we have unlearned rather a lot about planning.

I've taken the sections off Pastscape (better check I have that right).. yes, and run a quick test...which I think deal with the combination of Springfield Cursus and thing that doesn't have a recognisable term, but the authors for the documents in Chelmsford library seem to stack up,

and put them onto my facebook page, or wall, along with the beginnings of the BARnumbers matter, which will go elsewhere.

In the process I found that English Heritage as about three million on schools and local history so perhaps this could be a start case for that.

You seem a little confused, muddled, puzzled or perhaps baffled - the pastscape entry for Springfield Cursus at Chelmsford seems coherent - it describes the site in everyday language; even making the point that within the cursus a timber circle was discovered during excavations prior to an housing development
