Dolmen de la Vaurelie
Dolmen de la Vaurelie submitted by alchemille : Site in Aquitaine:Dordogne (24) France Dolmen de la Vaurelie à Tocane Saint Apre (Vote or comment on this photo)
The Dolmen of La Vaurélie in the community of Tocane St Apre, is situated 50m from the farm of the same name.

From alchemille:
It is very ruined, with lots of vegetation growing around it. The stones are reddish, quite unusual in this part of Périgord. Probably as in the case of the dolmen in Paussac and St Vivian, the rocks came from the department of La Corrèze.

It is quite easy to find. The Dolmen of La Vaurélie is situated 50m from the farm of the same name.
Take the route D710 Ribérac to Tocane St Apres. Take the road on your right leading to Lieu Dit Vernodes, and from there to La Vaurélie. The dolmen is 50m away from the farm, taking the first path on the right after the farm.
It is very ruined, with lots of vegetation growing around it. The stones are reddish, quite unusual in this part of Périgord. Probably as in the case of the dolmen in Paussac and St Vivian, the rocks came from the department of La Corrèze.
