Ancient Village or Settlement in Oaxaca
Yagul is one of the most signficant Zapotec centres in Tlacolula Valley. Among the most important structures there are Palace of Six Patios, Estructura U and 47 m long Juego de Pelota (ballcourt). Most of the remains are dated for 13th - 16th century AC, however some of them (for example the ballcourt) were constructed in 6th - 7th century AC. Over the ceremonial part of the site there's Acropolis with a stunning view for the whole complex.
Site site is easily accessable with a road from Oaxaca.
