Ancient Settlement in Piura Provence.
A recently studied find described as an administrative center or warehouse for a Tallan culture community. The Tallan culture (Late Intermidiate, 1000 - 1200 AD in the Piura region,) existed in what is now Northern Peru and Ecuador.
Archaeologists say they found necklaces, ceramic pieces and other fragments in the area.
The site location is general for the nearest village, La Arena. It does not reflect the actual location of the ruin.
