We have visited Castro de Romariz on December the 13th 2022.
The site could be reached by a paved road half way up and the other 400 meter by foot. The site was very well renovated and gave a tremendous feeling of how we have lived there 3900 years ago in a fortified village. We could examine how the water was preserved there due to the abundant rainfall of the last months in Portugal. Romariz is considered as one of the most significent sites of the region Douro e Vouga. In mid 19th century it was discovered due to a hidden monetary treasure.
