Rock Art in Argentina

The Barrancas River sub-basin has been declared a Municipal Natural and Cultural Reserve for its wealth of rock art. In fact, it has numerous localities with cave art in which we have surveyed 41 sites with a total of 145 panels and more than 1,100 motifs. These manifestations were captured in eaves, caves and rocky escarpments and extend for several kilometers on both banks of the Barrancas River. University of Buenos Aires.

The location is for the Interpretive Centre from which guided tours are run.
