The stone is quite small for a megalith bearing the name longstone standing at almost 1 1/2 metres high, but having said that it is quite an attractive shape. (Vote or comment on this photo)

The stone is quite small for a megalith bearing the name longstone standing at almost 1 1/2 metres high. It is easily accessed a small walk from the road.

Ballard Longstone submitted by Dmull : Standing at 1.4meters high the Ballard Long Stone is found in an unspoilt part of South Armagh.As i approached this spot i fell over whelmed by a sense of history and serenity.Calm and peaceful wild rugged landscape was shaped before my eyes with the setting sun.
