This ancient well is listed Grade II. More info found on this website: British Listed Building Link, which reads:
"Well head and railings. Circa early C19, restored C20. Shale rubble with some dressed granite, wrought iron railings. Square pyramidal headed structure with pump set in niche to north east side. Railings with gate surrounding sump to south-east and set on granite border. Railings have arrow-head bars and 2 urn finials, one over corner post and one over one of the gate posts.
