Possible Henge in Cumbria

This circular banked enclosure shows well on aerial images and has been investigated by archaeologists. It has a cobbled area to the east, which is hypothesised as a dwelling platform. There is another circular ancient feature to the north, at Harbut Lodge, suggesting another circular enclosure was marked out but never constructed. I would say it is Neolithic.

Monument Number 1536546
Hob Uid: 1536546
Grid Ref : NY7142245844
Summary : A curvilinear enclosure representing a settlement of probable Iron Age/ Roman date is visible as an earthwork on lidar. The enclosure is formed by a curvilinear area defined by a broad bank and partially cut back into the slope. Beyond this is a broad curving scarp which defines the south-eastern limits. Other elements of the earthworks were too ill-defined on the lidar to map in detail. Part of the enclosure was also masked by an interference pattern in the lidar data. The enclosure is extant on the latest 2009 lidar.

You can see this on the lidar - link above or here

Why this is thought to be Iron Age/ Roman date isn't clear. It doesn't have entrances like a henge though and there is a rectangular bit attached to it at the top.
