Cist in Jersey
La Roche a la fee was first mentioned as a neolithic site in 1039. On maps marked as "Pierre de la Fetelle", but strictly this is a natural formation nearby. The site has a singular massive capstone made of conglomerate, with 4-5 uprights underneath. The cist is on a cliff edge, perched much like the "Little Sark Dolmen" facing it to the North, and likewise seems to have partially collapsed, with one of the uprights broken. There are a couple of similar cists on the French mainland, but a rarity, consisting of massively oversized capstones on tiny orthostats, although a definite chamber is still accessible, much like the "Roche aux trois pieds" on the Cherbourg peninsula nearby.
