Kellis visited on 1st Aug 1996 - their rating: Cond: 4 Amb: 4 Access: 3 Lovely site with good landscape views ranging from the south east to the south west, if I recall correctly. I'll post some photos.

Townland ROBINSTOWN GREAT

Description Located on top of a broad low hill. Four orthostats enclose an area of c. 4.25-4.9m x 3.4-3.7m with an outlier (dims. 0.85m x 0.4m; H 0.8m) 4.15m to the SW and a quartz block (dims. 1.7m x 1.25m) lying prone between the quadrangle and the outlier. The NW stone (dims. 0.75m x 0.6m; H 1.6m) in the quadrangle is the tallest. The other stones are: at NE (dims. 0.95mx 0.35m; H 0.85m); at SE (dims. 0.9m x 0.2m; H 0.7m); at SW (dims. 0.9m x 0.6m; H 1.4m) (O’Nualláin 1984b, 71). The GPX file for this site gave the location as 52.407404N and 6.809813W which was 74m out. I made it 52.407442N and 6.809813W + or - 7m (which is slightly different again to the location above). [corrected to the co-ordinates you've given - thank you]

As to the access, I approached from the W leaving the vehicle at 52.410273N 6.822099W, up to between the two farm buildings, then keeping to the left gate. Which was probably a big mistake! 6 fields and 2 steep hedges, at least 20mins with scratches. I suggest apporoaching from the N (I found a big farm track going that way) or the E which may be closer to a road). I don't know which direction Alex approached it.
