Stone Row / Alignment in Bohemia

Several stone rows in Southern Bohemia which survived in quite good state. Just a few reports can be found about the place and no serious archeological survey was made unfortunately. Main source is probably the book of Mr Kozák from 2003 "Mysterious places from Blaník to Sušice". The site is also endangered by lumber machinery.

I visited this nameless forested hill in October 2020 and after some time I succeeded to locate stone alignment. The rows lies on a gentle slope and seems to be following contour lines. Orientation is roughly NW-SE. At least two rows are still very well recognizible with some stones still in upright position.

Of the reported six rows I can confirm at least four. Some of the rows practically disappeared in the terrain and are overgrown with moss. The length of alignment can be up to 100 metres. There are also some stone piles, mounds and sort of stony platforms visible, but seems to be rather remains of stones collected from the rows.
