Nuraghe in Sardinia (Sardegna)

This unusual complex nuraghe is located on a narrow ridge, south of Protonuraghe Sa Corona. It consists of an elongated building with 2 circular towers (each 6 m in internal diameter) at both of its ends.

The northern tower has coursed cyclopean masonry with particularly large stones. In central part of the building there are remains of internal spaces, possibly a passage.

Nuraghe Serra Cannigas is visible from the distance, it is intervisible with Protonuraghe Sa Corona and Nuraghe Monte Leonaxi. Discovered pottery allowed to date the site to 1600 BC.
