From Chalki take the road (by car) to Potamia then Tsikalario. Leave the car and follow the path which starts at the church of Agios Stephanos, climbing up in a north westerly direction leading to the Byzantine castle Epano Kastro (upper castle). It is about half an hour's walk.
There is a cemetery dating from geometrical period (9th-8th century BC). The menhir is situated at the entrance. It is about 3m in height. If you have difficulty locating it, ask a native about "stiti petra', standing stone. There are few standing stones scattered throughout the island.
