It was conceived and built by artist Mark Cline as a roadside attraction, and opened on April 1, 2004. In 2017, Foamhenge was relocated to Cox Farms, Centreville, Virginia.</description>

See comment.. Proposed Stone Circles in Clarke County, Virginia.Three proposed stone circles claimed to have been built to create solstice alignments with a nearby natural formations, notably, the Bear's Den Rocks.  In general the stones are small enough to be moved directly by one or two people, and appear to have been local stones.  Non-local jasper stone debris and a worked fragment of a scraper were found in an excavation below some of the stones. </description>

Site is not accessible at this time.. Ancient Habitation Site in Sussex County, Virginia. Some of the earliest evidence of man in the western hemisphere has been found here in the form of a stone blades and a possible hearth.  Cactus Hill is a buried multicomponent site on the coastal plain of the Nottaway River in Sussex County, Virginia. in addition to Archaic and Clovis occupations, below the Clovis and separated by sterile sand, is an apparent pre-Clovis occupation.  Carbon dated to 13000 BC. </description>
