Several prehistoric settlements were found in Triesen (Liechtenstein), which is situated at the food of the Rätikon mountain ridge of the Alps. In prehistoric times, the site was at least inhabitated from the 13th to the 5th century BC, because settlements from the Bronze Age (1600 - 1400 BC and 1200 - 900 BC) and from the Iron Age (7th – 5th century BC) were discovered. All settlements were destroyed by natural disasters.

]]>The archaeological site on Gutenberg hill is situated in Balzers (Liechtenstein). Gutenberg is a 70 m high rock outcop. Because of the topological advantage of the hill, the site was continuously inhabitated since the Neolithic, as shown by finds from the Rössen Culture (ca. 3000 BC).

]]>The archaeological site Borscht is situated on Eschnerberg hill in Schellenberg (Liechtenstein). Because of the topological advantage of the hill plateau, it was used for settlements already in the Neolithic, as shown by finds from the Rössen Culture or Rössen Culture-influenced people (ca. 4400 BC). The site was continuously inhabitated also in the Bronze Age and the Iron Age.
