Dolmen de Porteille
Dolmen de Porteille submitted by richardfrance : This is deep in the Corbieres hills, with a commanding view south to the Pic du Canigou and the eastern Pyrenees. Nearby is a fallen menhir, and the necropolis de la Clape at Laroque-da-Fa. (Vote or comment on this photo)
A two hour walk signposted to the west of the village of Félines-Termenès takes you to this dolmen. Alternatively, the dolmen can be reached in a 45 minute walk, by continuing on the D613 south through Felines-Termines up to the Col de Bedos. Turn R on D40 for 2 km. and park at first forestry road on L. where two stones indicate the lane down to Moulintour, a renovated bergerie. The walk begins opposite on L a few steps back up the road. The way is marked with yellow signs as 'Dolmens de la Porteille' - but not at the beginning, from this end.

There is only one dolmen, unless a second diaclase is counted. La Grotte de Mathias is further down the track towards Felines.

The MegaPortal coordinates place the dolmen to the NE. Using http://www.geoportail.fr the site is at 2.35'57" E, 42.59'48" N or in decimal degrees: 2.599166 E, 42.996666 N. More info at my blog, http://www.dolmen.wordpress.com>
