Really been interesting reading bout a few of the lesser known sites around Birsay.
I'll be there in August, well as from 2nd of August till supposidly 30th of Aug, at a dig nearby, so weather, & cattle besides I hope to go a-exploring.
Oh staying at the Birsay Outdoor Centre, so no excuses not visiting the Oxtro Broch lol.

      If you visit my Flickr photostream I think there are a few pix of Oxtro broch.
      Have piles of my other Orkney pix up there too inc Snusgar where we spent the whole of August digging,video footage too.
      Twas fun,hard work but fun.
