Knockando 2
Knockando 2 submitted by wiccaman9 : Knockando II, Woefully weathered stone, said to portray a snake above a mirror. The handle of the mirror is just visible at certain angles, and feint traces of the snake can just about be palpated with the finger tips. Mounted into the wall surrounding the Church of Knockando. In a rather sad state of affairs just now. Visited the site for the first time 11 years ago. The years of weathering have not been kind. Brief descriptions in books are the only reminders of the stones (there are 2 stones) as the images portrayed are withered away. Reputedly a snake above a mirror (female symbol). The handle of the mirror is visible in certain lights but little remains of the snake, apart from feint traces that can be felt with the fingertips!
