Montjarié menhir 1
Montjarié menhir 1 submitted by ocdolmen : Monjarié menhir. 2.70 metres tall, granite. The menhir serves at present as a commemorative monument in memory of the execution of two french resistance members by German troops during the second world war. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Big granite stone, almost 3 m high and 1.25 m wide, was found lying 2 km to the north, near the farm Montjarié.

Now it is a memorial for 2 victims (maquisards), died in July 1944, according to the plate with 2 pictures.
