Dieser einzelne Menhir gehört zum Valle de la Grand Pierres. In diesem Tal befinden sich weitere Megalith Stätten. In unmittelbarer Umgebung des Menhirs sind Strukturen aus Stein auszumachen, die jedoch noch nicht erfasst sind.
Man fährt von Blois Richtung Averdon auf der D924 und biegt dann in die D162. Man nimmt die erste Strasse nach Links und biegt in die Chemin de la Grand-Pierre. Am Ende der Strasse geht es noch ca. 20min. zu Fuss über einen Feldweg alles geradeaus und landet bald schon bei diesem schönen Menhir. Aus Zeitgründen sind wir den Feldweg mit unserem 4x4 bei trockenem Wetter gefahren und brauchten dafür knapp 5min. Man kann am Ende leicht wenden.
Der Menhir ist gut 2 Meter hoch und ca. 50cm breit. An der Basis ist er breiter nach ca. 20cam wird er schmäler. Es war ein absolut ruhiger Tag und wir waren ganz allein Mitten in der Weite von Frankreich. Der Stein strahlte für mich eine Ruhe aus und ich hatte das Gefühl näher zu sein an der Zeit unserer Vorfahren.
