littleocky visited on 2nd Aug 2023 - their rating: Cond: 4 Amb: 3 Access: 3 To be found on a side road off the road from Couesmes-Vaucé to Vaucé. Easily visible from the road and accessible through a field. There is a stream between the road and the field, but this can be crossed at the corner of the field.

TheCaptain visited on 24th Apr 2005 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 3 Access: 4 This menhir is found in a field just to the north of the village on the road to Vaucé beside a little stream and is probably more than 2 metres tall. There are a few other pieces of stone nearby which may have been broken from the menhir.

Il est situé au lieu-dit le Pré de l'Étang.

Il s'agit d'un menhir de 2.25 m de haut, à peu près cylindrique au pied avec un sommet assez large en biseau. Malheureusement, les années ont eu raison de ce mégalithe en l'amputant de son sommet. Toutefois, ce menhir est riche en histoire par une légende, qui a été résumée ainsi :

"Dans la nuit de Noël, au moment des 12 coups de minuit, cette pierre se retourne sur elle-même, et celui qui voudrait voir ce spectacle reçoit une paire de claques, l'obligeant à retourner la tête, afin de ne pas observer ce phénomène".
