This 6' high standing stone is in field near to the footpath between the hamlets of Kemyel Wartha and Kemyel Crease. It leans slightly and narrows towards the top.

I used to live in the bungalow next to the field where Kemyel A stands. I went back there this weekend to take a video which I will try to share here via YouTube although I’m new to the site so it may not work properly at first attempt. Please let me know what you think.

The stone photographed by Maengurta lies almost 200 metres north of Kemyel A. I found the same stone on a recent visit, standing against a bank just outside the farm buildings. The stone is more regularly shaped than the others at Kemyel, carrying markings down one edge that I took for weathered quarry marks, but could easily be something more significant and needs an expert eye to look it over. It is potentially Kemyel D menhir.
