A standing stone beside the road on the north end of the island of Gigha. This stone has been moved and re-erected since prehistoric times however it's interesting that the top of the stone is angled at about the same angle as the setting moon. There are also amazing views of Jura.

Hello David, thanks very much for posting this, it's not on the OS map. Has been re-erected so difficult to claim alignments but the angle of the top is interesting as you say. Going on front page tomorrow.

Canmore says:
https://canmore.org.uk/site/88434/gigha-cnoc-nan-gobhar
The stone is part of a post and wire fence on the W side of the public road which runs along beside the W facing slope of Cnoc nan Gobhar and lies opposite the Kintyre Inventory site No 249 enclosure. The stone is 1.2m high by 2OOmm by 250mm. There are some horizontal marks on the SW edge of the stone. Local sources say that the stone was found in the nearby field by 'Dumpy' McNeill and used as a fence post. This stone may be part of the ogham stone at St. Cathan's Church (NR64NW 2).
