Chambered Cairn in Bretagne:Finistère (29)

Hidden under the gorse and brambles, I would never have known the existence of this cairn if it hadn't been for the enthusiasm of an elderly local from the nearby town who happened to be leaning on the nearby Pointe De Primel Menhir, about 50 meters to the northeast.

Following him up the path over the nearby hump, he stopped at two waist high stones on the path and pointed low into the hedge showing the lintel and uprights leading into the chamber. Sadly filled with sand, debris and trash, nevertheless the tumulus has a wonderful setting overlooking the rocks and islands to sea, and I'm sure if the thick growth on top of it were removed it would expose quite a complete structure, as many of the stones surrounding it are visible through the brambles.

On the other side of the high rock due south is a ruined Dolmen hidden in the undergrowth, at the fork in the path.

This site (Point de Primel Tumulus), is on the site of T4T35 named Allée couverte dit Gwele an Inkinerez. I visited in september 2018 and it was a little less overgrown, co-ordinates are the same, so I am sure it must be the same
megalith.
