Burial Chamber (Dolmen) in Russia

Unusual Dolmen cut from a large rock into the shape of a pyramid from the side. The back and front have indentations and what looks like a soul hole. In the forest directly to the North of the Mamedva Scel' Village. Photo opposite DrewParsons May 2016

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY DREW PARSONS MAY 2016: To reach the site walk north through to the end of the village until you reach a bridge which the sealed road crosses. Do not cross the bridge but continue along a gravel lane next to the river(old white paint on the road shows the way but was quite obscure in May 2016). After 100 metres or so on this gravel lane some steps and a hand rail appear on the left side of the track. Climb these steps and watch for the small sign to the dolmen part way up this track and steps. It is probably 300 metres from the village end to the dolmen.

There is a hole to the right (not visible in this photo but see other pictures on this page). As it is cut from the living rock the chamber is party filled with water.
