MenhirHunters visited on 9th Mar 2014 - their rating: Amb: 2 Access: 4 Visited the menhir today. It's now in the middle of a residential complex on private ground. The hedges in the back grew quite high, so no sight from the back road anymore, as well.
I talked to the owner of the home who just came back from shopping. He told me that this is not a real menhir but brought there about twenty years ago by the previous owner of the house.
Might be that this menhir actually belonged to the original alignement and was simply moved to this new location as garden deco.

Well, that's the description in the book, but on the IGN maps a menhir is marked.
When I eventually found my way to this, having been delayed by private roads and no through ways near to the Roches Douvres holiday homes residence, the top of a large stone could be seen in the distance over some impenetrable overgrowth. Looking for a way through proved futile.
So walking all the way around along the new private road and a view of a splendid menhir can be obtained, looking like it is in somebodies back garden, although it is perhaps common ground.
The stone must be at least 4 metres tall, and looks very much like it is alone, apart from a small stone right beside it. It is possible that there are more smaller stones in amongst the undergrowth nearby and on the golf course, but a menhir seems a better description of this stone.
