TheCaptain saw from a distance on 16th May 2005 On the hill high above Fontenille can be seen another tree covered mound. This one was really tempting to go and walk to but it was a long way from anywhere I could drive to so I managed to keep away. Pity I didn’t get a good photograph as from certain angles its most impressive looking.

We live in Fontenille and regularly walk up the Motte with our dog, it is a really interesting site, with a hinged door of which you can see the door with the top "hinge". It is mostly overgrown with grass and some small trees around. It has the most brilliant views over the surrounding countryside and is not at all difficult to get to by a track almost to the top. Next time visit it is worth it.
