Trengwainton Cross
Trengwainton Cross submitted by BenynHweg : I was thrilled to find this cross so easily. It's well cleared and stunning. The suggestion of a cist seems plausible. Although it does also seem well placed as a way marker too. I suppose it could have been both? (1 comment - Vote or comment on this photo)

Trengwainton Cross
Trengwainton Cross submitted by Bladup : Trengwainton Cross, It's been cleared and it looks like there's there's two stones of a possible cist in the ground next to the cross (On the left), Which raises the question - could the cross and it's base be made from two of the other missing cist stones? The sites position on high ground very near to Trengwainton Cairn with it's wonderful outcrop would in fact be a very typical South West posit... (Vote or comment on this photo)

Trengwainton Cross submitted by lucasn : Trengwainton Cross. Best viewed in Winter as it gets very overgrown and impossible to spot during the Summer months.

Trengwainton Cross
Trengwainton Cross submitted by Bladup : On the top of Trengwainton Carn, The lovely outcrop from where the cross got it's name is just to the South of it. This photo is looking North West, The little outcrop on the hill in the distance on the right is Boswarva carn.

Trengwainton Cross
Trengwainton Cross submitted by JimChampion : The Trengwainton Cross, only just visible after I had stomped down a path through the bracken and brambles. Behind the cross are gorse and rhododendron bushes which will probably swallow it up over the next few years.

Trengwainton Cross
Trengwainton Cross submitted by JimChampion : The nearby cross at Boswarthen is complete. The Trengwainton Cross lacks a shaft, and the head is set directly into the base. The Boswarthen Cross is also clearly visible alongside a tarmac road, whereas this one is almost lost in the undergrowth near a bridleway.
