St Mary's Well (Rosenannon)

Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Cornwall. This well is largely destroyed but at one time a chapel dedicated to St Mary Magdalen existed nearby and both the well and the chapel were surrounded by walls. The chapel was destroyed during the civil war by parliamentary troops. The water from the well was highly regarded in the treatment of illnesses and some believe the waters to not only be pure but to have medicinal qualities.
