Knockraheen Stone Circle
Knockraheen Stone Circle submitted by GaelicLaird : Looking to the north east, axial stone in the foreground. A standing stone pair, cairns and a burial ground are in the next field to the north east where the cows were grazing. Photo taken June 2021. (Vote or comment on this photo)
A stone circle of 5 stones pointing to the south, with the remains of an alignment - 2 quartz stones still standing and a third prostate - on the same axis. 1.6km (1mlles) NNW of The Bealick, a short distance to the north of a narrow byroad from Carriganimmy to Macroom.

Knockraheen Stone Circle
Knockraheen Stone Circle submitted by KenWilliams : Knockraheen Stone Circle, near Carrignaminny in Co. Cork. The recumbent stone in the bootom left is superb, both sides slope neatly up to a level top that is very bench like. The portals are longer than high and all the low, stumpy stones are well placed. A great little circle. (2 comments - Vote or comment on this photo)

Knockraheen Stone Circle
Knockraheen Stone Circle submitted by frogcottage42 : Looking through the portals and over the axial, the perfect alignment over the white quartz stone row is apparent This is a surprisingly rare feature as most related stone rows are to the SE or N of their circles and often seem to pre-date them (Vote or comment on this photo)

Knockraheen Stone Circle
Knockraheen Stone Circle submitted by Johnny : Knockraheen Megalithic Complex, Co. Cork (W304 801): The megalithic complex at Knockraheen bears similarities to the more spectacular example at Kealkil (cf). It consists of a complete five-stone ring, a pair of standing stones and a nearby radial cairn. The ring has an interior measurement along the main NE-SW axis of 4m with the stones being graded in height from 0.9m down to the 0.6m high...

One of my favourite stone circles- tiny but perfect with a lovely symmetry and two stunning quartz outliers.
