The crannog Konstanz-Hinterhausen is located at the Lake Constance (Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany). It was mainly used between 4000–3500 BC as well as 3000–2500 BC. Finds from the Neolithic Goldberg-III-Gruppe were made at the site.

The site was first described in 1859. The discovery of the oldest house was made in 2014. It was found by the archaeologists via the use of drones. The information of the drones was very helpful, because diving at this position is very difficult due to the strong current. This oldest building measured 3 m x 8 m. Based on dendrochronology, it was built in 3910 BC.
The site is located in a special topographical location near the narrow ford of the Rhein river and therefore could control the crossing of the Rhine. Today, the original remains of the settlement are preserved beneath the ground.

The site is part of the UNESCO world heritage Prehistoric pile dwellings around the Alps.
